Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems
One way that large and small industrial and transportation customers, such as electric power transmission utilities and mass transit authorities, are streamlining their operations and saving money is through the implementation of advanced supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions.
INFOGERANCE's integrated SCADA technology continuously acquires operational data from a variety of field devices over high-speed networks, allows operators in central facilities to monitor the devices and make proper decisions, and can automatically issue controls to the monitored equipment in real time.
Our SCADA solutions process three main types of data status values, analog values, and pulse accumulators and present this data to Windows NT-based operator stations in a clear, concise fashion using full graphic and tabular displays that support multiple view-ports with pop-up and pull-down menus. Designated data is recorded in historical databases for later analysis.
Other features include historical data archiving. Real-time data can be archived to relational databases for future retrieval. Data can be viewed using off-the-shelf packages such as SQL Reports, MS Access, or any other similar package.
INFOGERANCE SCADA solutions use an open-system architecture for easy interfacing with other software and computer platforms. To provide non-stop processing, the solutions are implemented on redundant Windows servers.
Data is continuously and automatically transferred from the primary to the secondary server and attached data storage devices.
If either server or storage device crashes, the redundant system devices immediately pick up the processing. In addition, all critical solution hardware and software are monitored for status.
